Nationwide, Republicans have been limiting abortion access whenever and wherever possible.
Now, Florida is the only state in the Southeast where abortion is legal for up to 15 weeks of pregnancy. The result?
Working people with families are having to leave their jobs and pay for extended accommodations just to access this critical procedure — this is discriminatory and unacceptable.
This week, my Democratic colleagues and I are once again voting on the Women’s Health Protection Act, legislation that creates federal protections for the right to provide and access abortion care. The WHPA has already passed once in the House, but we must double down on this fight. We're also voting on the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act, which will ensure people who do cross state lines to get an abortion can't be penalized.
I am also proud to support President Joe Biden’s executive order on abortion that will provide legal protections to anyone who will want to cross state lines to access abortion and other forms of critical reproductive healthcare.
Pro-choice Democrats need to stand united and show their unwavering support for federal protections for all necessary reproductive health care services. Sign my petition today to join my call for safe and accessible abortions now>>

If Florida follows through on further restricting abortion, what would happen to these women? This is an outcome we cannot allow.
The decision to seek an abortion is personal and private — there is simply no room for a politician’s say. The majority of Americans believe that abortions should be safe and accessible.
Legislators must fulfill their promise to voters by codifying abortion into national law — add your name if you agree.
