On Twitter, Tony Dungy Models How to Defend the Sanctity of Life in a Hostile Culture

By: Paul Batura

Whether motivating and instructing a football team from the sidelines, fielding questions from a hostile press, or engaging users on social media, former NFL coach and current NBC analyst Tony Dungy has a reputation for being cerebral, straight-forward, and never the type to shy away from difficult topics and conversations.

This tendency was on full display earlier this week when the Super Bowl-winning coach responded to a comment on Twitter from Adam Davidson from National Public Radio.

“For a project, I’m researching the biblical case for the idea that life begins at conception,” Davidson tweeted. “There doesn’t seem to be one. It’s a brand new idea, made up in the 1970s. In the bible and for nearly all of Xn [Christian] history, life was thought to begin some time in the 2nd trimester.”

Portlanders: Send Your Little Leftist to Anarchy Camp!

By: Jeff Johnston

Budding Roses Summer Camp is a free two-week program, in Portland, Oregon, where 4th through 8th grade students can explore “social justice issues, youth leadership, arts activist, games and more!”

Due to the COVID-19 shutdowns, Budding Roses did not offer camps the past two years. Parents were forced to teach their children radical anarchism on their own.

But the organization did provide free, online resources, and these demonstrate what children and adolescents will learn this year, when Budding Roses runs its summer camp.

There’s the “Budding Roses Protest and Chant Book.” This isn’t filled with traditional camp songs like “Kumbayah” or “On Top of Spaghetti.” Little anarchists can learn songs like “Solidarity Forever,” the labor rights song from the International Workers of the World, or there’s Woody Guthrie’s lovely little ditty “All You Fascists Bound to Lose.”

Children with a leftist message to share with the world can learn to create stencils and block prints, in order “to spread your art as wide as possible”:

With one stencil or blockprint you can make hundreds of copies of your image using just a bit of paint. Using these basic skills you decorate all the posters, stickers, t-shirts, walls, and streets you want!

Five Lies the Abortion Industry is Pushing and How to Respond

By: Nicole Hunt

The abortion industry is scared. Roe v. Wade’s reversal has them on their heels, and they are worried about their long-term business success. Fewer abortions mean a less profitable and less politically powerful abortion industry. So, abortion sellers have resorted to fear-mongering tactics in a lazy attempt to try to save their business model.

Because the abortion lobby is failing miserably to win hearts and minds with the truth about abortion, they’ve manufactured lies to support their position.

The pro-life movement cannot let the abortion industry get away with that. Abortion pushers must be called out for each and every lie they fabricate.

Here are five lies the pro-abortion lobby is spreading now that Roe has been overturned and how you should respond:

1. Women with life-threatening conditions will be forced to carry a baby even if it means they die.
2. Women won’t be able to receive treatment for ectopic pregnancies.
3. Women won’t be able to receive care for miscarriages.
4. Pro-life pregnancy resource centers hurt women and should be shut down.
5. Roe v. Wade’s reversal violates the separation of church and state.

Inflation Hits Another Four Decade High of 9.1%, Hitting Struggling Families the Hardest

By: Zachary Mettler

Have you filled up your gas tank recently? Or gone to the store to purchase groceries? Or bought practically any other good or service?

If so, you probably looked at your receipt and did a double take, wondering whether that high price could be correct.

If you feel like things are getting more expensive, and therefore your money is losing value, you’re not imagining things.

The annual inflation rate hit another four-decade high in June, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Wednesday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.3% in the month of June alone, leading the CPI to rise by 9.1% compared to one year ago.

According to the BLS, this increase is “the largest 12-month increase since the period ending November 1981.”

The CPI is the measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by consumers for goods and services.

BLS noted that the increase was “broad-based,” and showed up in many sectors of the economy, “with the indexes for gasoline, shelter, and food being the largest contributors.”

Pennsylvania Governor Vetoes Bill Protecting Women’s Sports from Male Competitors

By: Bruce Hausknecht

A bill passed by the Pennsylvania General Assembly that would prevent males from competing in women’s sports in the state’s public schools and universities hit a roadblock on July 8 in the form of a veto by Governor Tom Wolf.

House Bill 972 (HB 972), known as the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act,” requires that athletic teams or sports designated for females in the state’s public primary, high schools, colleges and universities be open only to students of the female sex.

If the bill had been signed into law, Pennsylvania would have joined a movement of 18 other states that have already protected women’s sports from unfair competition from men who claim to be women.

Gov. Wolf told reporters that the state’s legislators who passed the bill should be ashamed of themselves.

“The fact that this bill passed through Pennsylvania’s Republican-led General Assembly solely to bully and oppress vulnerable children is atrocious,” Wolf told the news outlet PennWatch. “These members should be ashamed of themselves for proposing and voting on policies that are discriminatory, unnecessary, and incredibly harmful.”

In Wolf’s veto message to the state legislature, the governor claimed the bill discriminated against what he termed “transgender girls and women.”
