Friends –

While my opponent was busy bragging about her latest Hollywood endorsement on twitter last night, I was hard at work having conversations with leaders and community members from across our county.

There’s a lot of work to do and none of it can be done without real relationships with the people right here in Hennepin County. That’s why I’m so proud to already have the support of mayors across our county including, William Blonigan of Robbinsdale, Ron Case of Eden Prairie, Shep Harris of Golden Valley, Jim Hovland of Edina, and Jake Spano of St. Louis Park.

I also have the support of the leaders of community organizations that are helping to fill in the gaps in our system right now, more than a dozen of our local legislators and even former Secretary of State Joan Growe.

These leaders are going to bring safety back to our communities. These are the people who work tirelessly in OUR community with the victims of violent crime, law enforcement agencies and dozens of other partners to make a difference.

I’m proud to have each and every one of these endorsements. And I’m proud to call many of you supporters as well. If you haven’t yet, take a minute to let me know you’re with me, ready to help make a difference right here in Hennepin County.

I’ll take Hennepin over Hollywood any day.
