This is a reminder that the comment period for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) closes on July 22. This request outlines the agency?s funding needs for fiscal years 2024 through 2025.

You can share your ideas and recommendations about what should be in the LAR by sending an email to *[email protected].*?

DFPS must submit its LAR to the legislature in August 2022. It will be considered by the 88th Texas Legislature in its regular session in 2023.
