Hi -- this is Congressman Mike Levin. This week, I was part of
Congressional Delegation to Madrid for the 25th United Nations Convention
on Climate Change.

Let me tell you what I saw behind the scenes.

First, Trump is considered a joke by world leaders. Democrats in our
delegation were important for reassuring world leaders that while Trump
abdicates responsibility for addressing the climate crisis, America has
not.

Second, Trump sent a low-level delegation while Democrats sent heavy
hitters including Speaker Pelosi. Coupled with his decision to withdraw
from the Paris Agreement, Trump sent a message to the global community
that America no longer leads on combatting climate change. In 2020, we can
change that.

Third, we are needed in the world. Sorely. Other countries want and need
us to lead.

Fourth, this is why I ran for Congress and flipped a red district blue --
after years as an environmental attorney. Leaders are needed now. On the
grassroots level and in Congress. I'm excited to be in the trenches with
PCCC members who helped elect me in 2018.

into the Paris Agreement, Democrats will when we take more power in 2020?
Join me and others in making this promise here.

In 2015, 195 countries adopted a historic, international agreement to
combat the climate crisis -- the Paris Climate Agreement. In Madrid, tens
of thousands of elected officials, business leaders, and scientists worked
to make sure this agreement is implemented and upheld. Except Trump.

There’s no doubt the threat of climate change is real. The United States
can’t afford to waste any more time debating it. Our environment, our
economy, and future generations depend on the actions that we take right
now.

[ [link removed] ]Let's send a message to the global community: If Trump won’t step up,
the American people will step up in 2020 so we can re-enter the Paris
Agreement. Join me in making that promise today.

Thanks for your support -- and for being a bold progressive.

Congressman Mike Levin (CA-49)

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here: [link removed]
