Vedat Gashi Announces Record Fund-Raising Results for 2nd Quarter
Over $300,000 Achieved, Reflecting Campaign’s Accelerating Momentum
Westchester County Legislator Vedat Gashi has announced his Democratic primary campaign for congress in NY 16 has raised over $300,000 in the second fundraising quarter of 2022. The campaign received hundreds of donations during the second quarter, reflecting accelerating momentum and increased support from voters across the district. These results are part of the over $800,000 raised by Gashi’s campaign since the first quarter of this year.
“These donations during the latest quarter will enable our campaign to continue its progress towards primary day on August 23 with increased advertising, field operations and voter outreach,” said Gashi, adding, “I offer many sincere thanks to those who contributed and those who are working on our campaign. This is a challenging primary race and we’re working hard to accomplish much more on the campaign trail over the coming weeks”.
“Our campaign is focused on delivering real progress for everyday New Yorkers and ensuring that everyone has a shot at the American dream, Gashi adds, noting that he will “fight to protect working families and expand the middle class, because this district deserves a representative who supports mainstream Democratic policies and values who will put progress before posturing and work hard to get things done”.
New York's 16th congressional district for the United States House of Representatives includes part of the northern Bronx and the southern half of Westchester County, including the cities of Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Rye, White Plains and Yonkers.
