And on Thursday, Parliament came back for the first time since we earned a new mandate from Canadians.

Our government’s Speech from the Throne laid out the important ways that we will build on the progress of the last four years to keep moving Canada forward – by working to invest in the middle class, keep our communities safe, protect our environment, and grow an economy that works for everyone.

The Conservatives have been clear that they want to cut back the services that Canadians rely on – but that’s the wrong approach. Investing in Canadians works. And there’s a lot of hard work ahead of us to make sure that we can keep building a better future – including on priorities like making life more affordable, strengthening our healthcare system, creating good new jobs, and moving forward on reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.

We’re ready to work together with all Parliamentarians to deliver real and positive change for Canadians, but especially in the first few weeks of a new mandate, it’s only possible with your support.
