BREAKING: Senate Republicans block bill to protect travel across state lines for abortion care.

This morning, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto asked for unanimous consent to pass a bill saying women can travel safely across state lines -- people like the 10-year-old girl who was raped and recently fled Ohio to Indiana.

Republican senators objected. Sen. Steve Daines of Montana said the bill would create "abortion tourism" and "fly-in abortions."

Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto is the most vulnerable incumbent Dem in the Senate. She's willing to pick important fights -- and we need her to get re-elected.
