Khiara Bridges – Berkeley Law Professor and expert on the intersection of race, class, and reproductive rights – calls out Josh Hawley for blatant transphobia.

Professor Bridges brought the energy the GOP’s violent rhetoric deserves: zero tolerance. It is simply unacceptable that members of Congress use transphobic language. It’s amazing how Hawley hasn’t learned his lesson. After encouraging the violent insurrectionists outside the Capitol on January 6th, he continues to use language that creates violence against some of our most marginalized communities.
