Far-right, QAnon-sympathizing Congresswoman Lauren Boebert just launched an Islamophobic attack against Ilhan in a desperate plea to sell her new book — falsely associating her with terrorism while watering down the violent events of the attempted coup on January 6th.

Boebert has never once apologized to Ilhan for the many Islamophobic smears she’s made against her. Instead, she doubled down on her attacks in her so-called "apology" call several months ago regarding another comment she made. She knows exactly what she’s doing — riling up the most extreme members of her right-wing, Trump-supporting base.

These vile attacks are more than just words — they incite violence and death threats against Ilhan and other Muslims. A Trump supporter in Florida was just sentenced and fined in court for making a death threat against Ilhan in 2019. He was far from the first person to threaten to take her life.

The far-right resorts to these Islamophobic, dehumanizing attacks because they know it gets more attention than trying to challenge the popular, progressive policies Ilhan fights for every day. They hope these attacks will distract her from putting people first and disrupting the status quo.
