My opponent just made a startling admission.

Folks,

Ballots drop TOMORROW and things are really popping on the campaign now.

People will be voting between now and August 2nd, so we have to really ramp things up these next few weeks.

I set an ambitious goal to raise $20,000 this month so we could put extra canvassers in the field and pay for more materials. Your contributions help with gas, materials, and the staff we need to win this race.

We’re on track for one of our best fundraising months yet, but in terms of our goal, we’re not yet where we need to be.

Right now we are $2,621 short of our mid-month target to be able to hit $20,000 before the primary. Can you chip in $22 (or any amount) right now to help us close the gap?

Our campaign is catching a LOT of attention. A recent article by Cascadia Daily News broke down the differences between all the candidates running in WA-02 – and my opponent made a startling admission.

A screenshot of a snippet from the Cascadia Daily News article published July 13, 2022, titled “9 candidates challenge Larsen’s 22-year hold on congressional seat”. The section of the article pictured talks about Jason Call’s refusal to accept corporate PAC money and criticizing Larsen for doing so. Highlighted is a quote from Rick Larsen, which reads: “I think it’s fair to say that Call probably can make that commitment because he’s not going to receive any Political Action Committee corporate donations, even from labor groups or environmental groups like I do, because they support me and not my opponent.”

This is probably the only time I’m going to say this, but Rick Larsen is right. Corporate PACs DON’T support our campaign – and I am damned proud of that.

The corporate bosses lining up to throw cash at Larsen, the most corporate-funded Democrat in the Washington state caucus, have earmarked a lot of their donations for the primary because they don’t want me on the ballot in November.

I believe corporate money has a toxic, corrupting influence on our political process. I’ve never taken a dime from corporate PACs or lobbyists, and I never will.

Rick Larsen can’t say the same. He IS a former lobbyist. His friends are lobbyists. And the majority of his funding comes from corporate interests he’s supposed to be regulating in Congress.

If you want a congressman who can’t be bought, help me get on the November ballot so we can have an honest policy debate about the needs of this district and the future working people deserve.

Voting starts as early as tomorrow, so we don’t have a moment to waste. Pitch in $22 now to help us win this primary on August 2nd.

Solidarity,

Jason Call
