Hi Friend,
Today we’re kicking off our 2022 Texas Democratic Convention! Events are already underway with an all-day National Democratic Training Committee event starting at 9 AM, and delegates filling the halls to grab their credentials and explore the expo hall.
And then tonight, I have the privilege of being joined at our official Kick-off Reception by Rep. Colin Allred and some of our Democratic Congressional nominees -- Rep. Jasmine Crockett, Greg Casar, and Michelle Vallejo. This will be just one of so many opportunities this weekend to highlight the next generation of leaders in our party.
I can already feel the energy from the fired up Democrats I’ve already met today. Texans are pissed off. Texans are fed up. Texans are ready to get work. Today -- surrounded by those who make our movement possible -- I feel more optimistic than I have in some time.
If you were here, I know you would feel it too. And if you’re planning on joining us at some point over the next few days, I can’t wait to share this feeling with you. Whether you’re here in Dallas, a proud Texas Democrat, or an ally of our state, the message coming from this year’s convention is clear: we can only win if we do it together.

Friend, this year’s convention means a lot to me. We’re seeing each other again for the first time in four years. And together we’re getting fired up and ready to take back our state this November.
Thanks for all you do,
