Hello John,

My name is Peyton Smith, and I have the privilege of interning this summer for the Network of enlightened Women. I first heard about NeW through Instagram, which is fitting as I am now part of the communications team. The pink aesthetic drew me in. I started to look deeper into what NeW is. The more I learned, the more I realized I wanted to bring this kind of community to my school, Seton Hall University.

Two years ago, I did just that. Seton Hall did not have a single conservative organization on campus at the time. I worked with the NeW Campus Team to set up my executive board, get approval by the school administration, and start promoting our chapter on campus. Being part of NeW has been the best part of my college experience. I have enjoyed working alongside like-minded women who are so encouraging and have helped me grow into a conservative leader on campus.

Some of my favorite events our chapter has hosted have included our group discussions on our country’s fiscal policy, President Joe Biden’s administration priorities, and inspirational women who have left a mark on America.

NeW is important because of the supportive community it provides both college students and young professionals who typically face hostility due to their conservative values. NeW educates, equips, and empowers conservative women to be fearless and principled leaders no matter their stage of life or the industry they are in. NeW provides amazing resources for women, allowing for easier accessibility and understanding of information that may have once seemed out of reach.

I wanted to intern for NeW because I have had the greatest experiences working with the NeW team while running my chapter. The team has motivated and inspired me to become a strong conservative leader on my college campus. I wanted to take part in spreading this inspiration to other women across the country who may be scared to start their own chapter, like I was at first. Everyone deserves the support that this community provides, and I wanted to help in expanding and strengthening that community even more.

If you know a young woman that is not already involved with NeW, I encourage you to reach out to her to
join the chapter on her campus ([link removed]) , start a chapter ([link removed]) if her school doesn’t have one already, or become a NeW National Member ([link removed]) to get access to NeW’s national events like book clubs and conferences.

I hope you’ll encourage more young women to join this amazing community.

Best,
Peyton Smith
