All jokes aside, recent testimonies from the Select House Committee hearings have highlighted disturbing yet unsurprising information about events preceding the January 6 attacks. We heard from a former member of the far-right militia, the Oath Keepers, as well as a man convicted for storming the Capitol, that they had been mobilized by Trump’s tweets when they gathered at the Capitol on January 6.
They also testified that there was a collaborative effort by Trump allies, the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, and other far-right conspiracy theorists to stage a violent insurrection at the Capitol. Trump and the enabling Treason Caucus bear full culpability for their attempt to thwart our democracy on January 6.
We are fighting to hold the Treason Caucus accountable for enabling fascism and nearly destroying our democracy. We have to vote them out of office, but we need your support to unseat them.
