We’re shocked by this news from the Ohio Statehouse:
Ohio Republicans just introduced a bill that, if passed, could ban birth control and IVF treatments.
This is an appalling overreach supported by our far-right opponent Rep. Chabot. He’s already co-sponsored a parallel bill in the U.S. House — the Life at Conception Act.
Look, Republicans want to control Ohio’s women and children. That’s why we’re fighting hard to elect Democrat Greg Landsman — will you chip in $3 to our campaign and stand up for what’s right?
The consequences of this bill cannot be overstated.
Ohio Republicans want to alter the definition of personhood, and deny families any choice in creating their own families.
This bill would become one of the most extreme laws rejecting reproductive rights in the nation, on top of Ohio’s extreme abortion ban forcing Ohioans to leave the state for reproductive care.
It’s clear: Ohio Republicans aren’t going to stop with their six-week abortion ban. Chabot won’t stop until there is a national abortion ban.
If elected, Democrat Greg Landsman will help codify Roe v. Wade into law and fight back against these GOP attacks on women’s bodily autonomy. But he can’t get there without support — can we count on you to chip in $3 and elect a pro-choice champion for Ohio?
