Team, today was surreal.
I just cast my ballot for John and myself at the Baltimore County Board of Elections. It’s hard to explain just how humbling and profound it was to not only see my name on the ballot, but to experience this moment with my mom by my side… truly an incredible feeling I will never forget.
After my family left our home in Iran in the wake of the Iranian revolution, my mother taught me how important it was to never take any of our rights for granted. It was she who instilled in me the radical idea that my value should never be limited by my gender. It is because of her and my own experiences that I’ve dedicated my career towards achieving equal rights for women here in Maryland and nationally.
Now, as a mom myself, I am grateful for the opportunity to show my kids that anything is possible — and to bring my mom along to watch me do something she never could have imagined: continue the fight for equal rights on an even bigger scale as a part of this ticket with John.
I am eternally grateful for all the work that our team, volunteers, and grassroots supporters like you have put into this campaign. All that John and I have been able to accomplish thus far has been thanks to you all, but early vote turnout has been at record lows and we need your help to motivate voters to get to the polls on Tuesday!
Can you rush in $200, $20, or even $2 right now to help us continue our GOTV efforts in time for the big day?
John, the team, and I will be knocking on doors all weekend, and we would really appreciate some last-minute grassroots support to recruit more volunteers and reach even more undecided voters over the airwaves. Will you give what you can today to help?
Thank you again for your support,
Michelle Siri
