My campaign just announced that we raised over $2.8 million last quarter to defeat Chuck Grassley and turn Iowa blue. Let me quickly explain why that’s such a big deal.

From January to March, we raised $1.4 million. That was the most a Democrat had EVER raised against Chuck Grassley in his over 46 years in Washington… and then from April to June, we raised TWICE as much.

We’re still waiting for Chuck Grassley to release his fundraising totals, but this much is clear: We’re now on pace to be the first campaign EVER to outraise Chuck Grassley – and I know we’re going to outwork him.

Chuck Grassley’s previous Democratic opponents were drowned out in negative TV ads paid for by corporate PACs and special interests. But with your help now, we’ll have the resources to truly fight back and wage a full campaign against Grassley through TV, radio, online, and by knocking on voters’ doors.

Now, money alone doesn’t win races. But the polling shows we’re just 5 points down, and Grassley’s approval ratings are the lowest they’ve ever been. Make no mistake: We have an historic chance to turn Iowa blue and expand our Democratic majority in the Senate this November.

We’ve set a goal to raise another $350,000 before our mid-July fundraising deadline at midnight tomorrow to fight back against the Super PAC lies, but I’m not taking a dime from corporate PACs.
