ZOA was the only major American Jewish organization that publicly objected, in the United States and in Israel, to President Biden receiving the award, saying that his policies and actions and appointments make it clear he does not deserve it.
According to Mort, “this award makes no sense. Biden and his administration openly support and appease the enemies of the Jewish State, continuing to illegally give financial aid to the Palestinian Arab regime that pays lifetime pensions to murderers of Jews and Americans, elevating anti-Israel, pro-terrorist Hady Amr to the position of “Special Envoy to the Palestinians,” pressuring to open a Palestinian Arab consulate in Jerusalem, while ignoring the sanctions against the Iranian enemy and even publicly praising Jew-haters like Cong. Rashida Tlaib.
We will never stop exposing the violent hatred of Israel’s enemies, and defending Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state and to protect her citizens. We will never agree to share our undivided capital, Jerusalem. We will not be silent. But we need your help!
