With the primary election behind us, we’re officially kicking off our general election effort to keep Illinois' 17th District blue.

Each day since the primary, the news outlets and pundits have reminded us that our race is going to be highly competitive and could literally determine House control.

We understand the stakes are high, but we made a decision early on that we wouldn't use the hair-on-fire email schemes that have become the bane of Democratic politics. You won't ever see any arbitrary deadlines, hyperbolic exaggerations, or obnoxious scare tactics here. We're doing things differently, friend.

This campaign is about listening and electing a trusted voice for Northwest and Central Illinois families. This isn't about the political fights trending on social media or cable news that have caused so much distrust and dysfunction over the years.

Last month's primary results proved that our community is ready for change. With a competitive general election ahead of us, we’re not going to scare you into supporting us, but we do hope you'll join willing:

Not only are we running a campaign built on transparency, we're making it a point to build the largest coalition we possibly can. Winning in November is going to be a historic grassroots effort. That's not an exaggeration, friend, it's just a fact heading into a tough 2022 midterm.
