President Biden has called the climate crisis an existential threat and he promised no more drilling on public lands and waters. Yet, Biden has opened more oil and drilling leases than Trump. Food & Water Action is fighting back. You can join us and provide the resources we need to mobilize with a gift to Food & Water Action.

John,
The Biden administration just released a draft plan for offshore drilling in public waters over the next five years. This announcement includes up to 11 new drilling leases but we’re working to make sure the final offshore drilling plan includes ZERO new leases!
We can’t allow coastal communities to be sacrificed to the oil and gas industry. Food & Water Action is working to demand that President Biden reject all new fossil fuel leases in the final offshore drilling plan. There are many things the president can do to transition off fossil fuels, and ending new offshore drilling is a crucial step. Give a gift to Food & Water Action today and make sure public waters are free from new drilling and fracking.

Offshore drilling hurts coastal communities which already bear the brunt of climate impacts like rising sea levels and stronger storms. Oil spills and pollution disproportionately harm Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities, and can have disastrous effects on public health, and the tourism and fishing industries that coastal communities rely on.
The oil and gas industry has permits to drill on more than 26 million acres of federal land and more than 12 million acres of public waters. Enough is enough. It’s time for President Biden to follow through on his campaign promise: No more drilling on public lands and waters! President Biden has the authority to end new leases for offshore drilling, but it’s up to us to force him to act. That’s why we’re mobilizing across the country to put an end to drilling and fracking.
Communities have a right to live in a healthy environment free of fossil fuel pollution. Will you power our campaign to end oil drilling with a gift to Food & Water Action today?
