John,
My opponent Max Miller can’t run on his record of being President Trump’s lackey, so he’s taken advantage of high gas prices to claim that Democrats are failing the American people.
During a rare public appearance, Max called for Joe Biden to “open up our pipelines” while standing in front of a gas station. But he didn’t even explain which pipelines aren’t open and how he would help lower gas prices.
Make no mistake, high gas prices are a major problem that create hardship for hardworking Ohioans. But instead of proposing policies that help Ohioans by supporting working families and diversifying our energy sources, Max Miller is nonsensically criticizing.
Max can't propose real solutions to bring down gas prices for the middle class because he has no idea what it's like to actually struggle to pay for fuel. He grew up as a member of Cleveland's "Royalty", and was able to take affording living expenses for granted.
When I was growing up, my dad biked to work every day because our family could only afford to pay for one car. Any time gas prices went up, it meant we'd have to cut back on other living expenses. I know firsthand how much high gas prices hurt working families. As your representative, I will do everything possible to help struggling families afford gas prices.
