Here's where we need you: Message your rep and urge them to pass both.

ACLU Supporter –

The House is set to vote on two bills tomorrow that will help protect and restore abortion access across the country – which means we only have today to make sure they know exactly what we expect from them:

Please take urgent action now by messaging your representative and telling them to vote "yes" on both critical pieces of legislation.

Knowing we're in a crisis situation with the recent fall of Roe v. Wade – knowing the health, lives, and dignity of millions of people who can become pregnant are now at risk – here's what these bills do:

* The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) will protect the right to access abortion nationwide by providing a federal safeguard against abortion bans and restrictions.

* The Ensuring Women's Right to Reproductive Freedom Act will reaffirm the right to travel out-of-state to seek abortion care and to help those who do.

Tell Your Rep: Protect Abortion Access Now

ACLU Supporter, it's no secret that the Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn Roe emboldened anti-abortion politicians everywhere. A dozen states across the country moved fast to enforce abortion bans following the ruling – and that number is expected to ultimately double.

Some state politicians are even attempting to punish people for traveling across state lines to get an abortion and for assisting those who need care. And all of these laws disproportionately harm the same women and pregnant people who already face disproportionate barriers to accessing health care – those with low incomes, people of color, young people, LGBTQ people, and people with disabilities.

That's why more than ever, we need federal safeguards in place. Abortion access should not depend on your zip code or who you are – and it's critical that Congress hears from you on this now.

For all people who can become pregnant and for all of our rights, urge your representative to pass both bills immediately. <[link removed]>

P.S. Banning abortion is deeply unpopular across the country – yet state politicians are moving faster than ever to deny us control over our own bodies and futures. We cannot remain silent right now. Let Congress know we're going to hold them to account: Tell your representative to defend abortion tomorrow by voting "yes" on these critical bills. <[link removed]>
