John, You blew past our goals for supporting Cheri Beasley’s campaign this week. THANK YOU! We’d hoped that 150 of you could support her campaign, and 176 of you chipped in, raising $4,290 for her race to be the next Senator from the great state of North Carolina! But like everyone else, Cheri has been facing the early summer fundraising slump. All the parents know: summer vacation is time off for the kids, and showtime for parents and grandparents. Meanwhile, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has already spent $6 million on ads against Cheri. As you probably know, negative ads often discourage low-information voters from even showing up to the polls, and she’s looking to get 10,000 new donors to support her campaign by this Friday at midnight to help cover the costs of voter outreach and education. Do you think we could help Cheri find another 50 donors from the Blue Amp community, so we can work towards a better future for all the kids? Could you be among the 50 donors we’re hoping would please give $2, $4, $10 or whatever you can afford to elect former North Carolina Supreme Court Justice and all-around great person, Cheri Beasley, as North Carolina's next Senator? Thank you for your courage and generosity, Cliff On Fri, Jul 8, 2022 at 10:35 PM Cliff Schecter, Blue Amp Action <[email protected]> wrote: John, Congressman Ted Budd hates women. He supports stalkers buying guns, voted against domestic violence protections, and opposes abortion rights. He shouldn’t be in the Senate. Can you please give $2, $4, $10 or whatever you can afford to elect former North Carolina Supreme Court Justice and all-around great person, Cheri Beasley, as North Carolina's next Senator? I am not being hyperbolic, the man can't seem to stop doing every vicious thing that enters this little man's addled mind to harm the women of America. He voted against the Violence Against Women Act, because I guess violence against women to ole Ted is a-ok? He then felt a need to prove this hatred, by voting against the bipartisan Safer Communities Act which specificially closed the "boyfriend loophole," letting men get their guns back who committed acts of violence against women but didn't live with, have a child with or marry the specific woman they attacked. Ted Budd thinks these stalkers, while issuing threats to women, should be able to get AR15s. And of course he applauded a-historical and utterly ridiculous Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v Wade and turning women into nothing so much as baby containers and second class citizens. He is, by all accounts, a woman-hating, right wing scoundrel. Luckily, we have Cheri Beasley, running against this troglodyte. She'll fight to codify Roe and protect all women's right--actually, greatly expand them. She supports the Equal Rights Amendment, equal pay and taking guns away from boyfriends who stalk, harass and commit acts of violence against women. |
