I wanted to send along a quick update on my work here in Washington, and here’s what I’ve been focusing on the last few weeks.
Biden’s open borders agenda.
President Biden is planning to eliminate Title 42 – Donald Trump’s commonsense policy that allows border patrol officers to deport illegal immigrants more easily. Even Biden’s administration admits <[link removed]> that eliminating this policy could result in 18,000 illegal migrants crossing our border every day – a “mass immigration event”.
That’s why I’m partnering with several Republican colleagues in the House to introduce The Border Safety and Security Act. <[link removed]> This legislation would empower border patrol officers to stop illegal border crossings and return illegal migrants to their countries of origin.
Biden’s inflation crisis.
Joe Biden is still refusing to take responsibility for the worst inflation crisis in 40 years. He’s blaming the pandemic, the Ukraine War, “price gouging” at the pump…anything but himself.
Even worse, Biden is refusing to pursue policies to increase American oil and gas production, and the consequences have been staggering. For the first time in American history, the average price of gas is over $4 a gallon in all 50 states. President Biden’s blame game isn’t fixing the problem. It’s only making things worse.
Potential violence from the radical left.
Last month, a Supreme Court draft opinion that appears to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked to the media. Not only was this an egregious violation of trust, but it alsoignited the unruly left-wing protestors <[link removed]>.
Far-left activists have targeted pro-life organizations and houses of worship with violence and vandalism. They’ve even tried to intimidate Supreme Court justices at their homes. Now, far-left groups are warning of a “summer of rage” if Roe v. Wade is indeed overturned.
Sadly, the Biden administration is doing very little to discourage this behavior, even when it violates federal law. I, for one, will not be intimidated by violence, and I will continue to stand up for the rights of the unborn.
John, America is going through a tough time right now. That’s why I’m working harder than ever to implement commonsense solutions that will help get our nation back on track.
Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to bringing you more updates soon.
Sincerely,
Tom Tiffany
