Yesterday, the Liberals announced their priorities in the Speech from the Throne to open the 43rd parliament. 

Thanks to your hard work, we were able to secure action on climate, reconciliation and pharmacare. The Trudeau Liberals promised: 

• Net zero carbon emissions by 2050
• New legislation on the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)
• National Pharmacare

We’re glad that the Prime Minister is listening, but his climate action doesn’t go far enough. 

We are calling on the Prime Minister to be guided by science. 

The science tells us we need to cut our emissions to be 60 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030. Without a firm, science-based 2030 target, the 2050 net zero emissions goal is a pipe dream.

Now is the time. It’s more important than ever that our Green caucus continue the fight for real climate targets and they need your help to do it. Will you support their work with a donation of $10.00 today?
