In the days since Roe v. Wade was overturned, Republicans in state governments across the country rushed to enact harsh abortion bans. And top Congressional Republicans — including Kevin McCarthy — indicated that a national abortion ban will be a priority if they take back the House. Let’s get one thing straight: Our narrow Democratic majority is the only thing standing in the way of a nationwide abortion ban passing the House. But if Republicans take control in November, that will no longer be the case.

Look, this is shaping up to be a difficult election year. We're playing a lot of defense in typically safe districts. Democrats cannot take a thing for granted.

LBR is working to run a robust campaign that can counter any right-wing attacks over the next few months. She's determined to drive the Democratic ticket here in Delaware to a big victory, and she's providing critical assistance to her colleagues in battleground House and Senate races. But all of this work takes resources — and now is when we need to be moving full speed ahead.
