I want to make it known where I stand when it comes to protecting the citizens of Colorado in a post- Roe v. Wade America. Before I get into the details, can you chip in $25 today to help me continue fighting for democracy? [[link removed]]
Last week, I joined Governor Polis in making it clear Colorado will not extradite anyone for a criminal violation of another state’s laws related to abortion services.

Extradition paperwork must include the state seal, and the Secretary of State has the legal authority to apply the seal. Colorado will not allow anyone to be extradited for seeking abortions or reproductive health care, and I will not apply this seal to any paperwork that would harm a person seeking care.
Coloradans have continued to elect officials who trust women to make our own decisions about our bodies. Because voters have had access to the polls, leaders who share the beliefs of the majority have been elected to office. Issues like reproductive rights remind us just how important voting and participating in democracy is. That is why I’m proud of the work I’ve done to make Colorado the gold standard when it comes to how elections should be run, and I’m hoping to keep it up.
