Another one of my favorite Grateful Dead inspired bands comes from original Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann. Just like Phil Lesh’s Phil and Friends, Kreutzmann has assembled an all-star collection of roots musicians called Billy and the Kids. The band features Billy Strings and Tom Hamilton of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. This clip features Strings on lead vocals for a rollicking version of “U.S. Blues.” |
