BREAKING FROM NPR: "With Roe overturned, LGBTQ activists worry same-sex marriage is next"

<< Sign on to tell Congress to protect marriage equality >>

John: We knew it wouldn't stop at Roe. In his concurring opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas laid the groundwork for destroying countless other civil liberties that Americans count on – and marriage equality is at the top of his list.
LGBTQ activists fought for decades to win the right to marry who they love and live their lives as their true selves. But now, ultraconservative justices on the Supreme Court are setting the stage to take away LGBTQ rights and turn back the clock on years of progress, despite 70% of Americans supporting same-sex marriage. The only way to defend the right to marry who we love is for Congress to codify marriage equality once and for all.
In the Senate, Trudy will protect marriage equality and defend LGBTQ rights. She'll be a bold leader who will stand up to bigotry and defend civil liberties like marriage equality.
But right now, gridlock and partisanship are blocking nearly all progress in Congress! To codify the right to marriage, we need to build a united public pressure campaign. That's why we've launched a new petition to show broad grassroots support for marriage equality.
But this petition closes at 11:59 p.m. tonight, and we're still missing your signature! Please add your name now to demand that Congress protect marriage equality. >>
