Gas prices are soaring. We rely on foreign countries for oil.
Yet we have the ability to produce our own energy sources here in the US. Why are we not energy independent?
It’s been months since Russia invaded Ukraine and the US had to source energy from other countries. Even though we have the ability to be completely energy independent… the Biden administration refuses to accept the most obvious answer.
America can and should be completely energy independent. It’s time that we stop relying on countries like Saudi Arabia to raise oil prices to all get-out when we can expedite permits for oil producers within our own borders.

Being dependent on other countries for energy is making America energy insecure. America has always been, and will always be, a dominant world power - and every day we rely on others for energy, we can’t be that power anymore.
