If I were in Congress right now, I’d be pushing for Congress to pass the Women's Health Protection Act and to finalize the Equal Rights Amendment.

61% of Americans believe abortion should be legal. There is no excuse for Democrats failing to codify Roe v. Wade into law.

We also need to codify same-sex marriage and protections into law, especially with Clarence Thomas stating that he wants to go after LGBTQ+ rights. As the first gay person from Washington State in Congress, I will never waver in my fight for LGBTQ+ rights.

Our district has never had a woman represent us in Congress, and Washington State has never sent a gay person to Congress. It’s time to change that!
