Hey John,

It’s Cory, and I wanted to reach out to you today because a major story in the 2022 midterm campaigns is about to break this Friday — the release of all of the FEC’s Q2 fundraising reports for federal campaigns.

It’s the last time that Senate campaigns will report their fundraising until the homestretch of October, when airwaves will be blanketed with false and misleading ads from some of the largest GOP Super PACs attempting to sway the midterms in their final days.

What happens between now and then may well decide the outcome of several key races. The truth is, early money offers a wider variety of opportunities for strategic investment — not just spending last-second dollars on TV and radio ads, but the ability to hire staff, train volunteers, and act as a force multiplier for the months ahead.

Friday’s reports will be a major indicator of which way battleground Senate races across the country are tilted — and where we need to pick up the pace to keep our majority.
