[ [link removed] ]Sign the petition: The Department of Justice needs to prosecute Trump!
John,
BREAKING: Add witness tampering to the list of charges Attorney General
Merrick Garland should bring against Donald Trump.
Yesterday's blockbuster January 6 hearing concluded with the bombshell
that Trump called an unnamed witness since the previous recent hearing.^1
The committee has referred this potential felony to the Department of
Justice to investigate. But we need to show them that the public demands
action! [ [link removed] ]It's time to prosecute Trump. Make your voice heard and sign
the petition.
The January 6 hearings have proven time and time again that Donald Trump
was at the center of the criminal conspiracy to sabotage the 2020 election
and that he was aware and even supported the potential for violence on
January 6. Our democracy was nearly overthrown for the sake of Donald
Trump's power and control—and we can't let him continue to get by without
being fully held accountable for his attempts to sabotage the election.
[ [link removed] ]Nearly 100,000 MoveOn members have signed the petition calling for the
Department of Justice to prosecute Trump. Will you add your name?
Thanks for all you do.

Trump!
Dear MoveOn member,
The January 6 select committee has revealed damning evidence that—to no
surprise—shows that Donald Trump was at the center of the criminal
conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election even after hearing from his
campaign director, his advisers, and his own daughter that he had lost.^2
Trump recruited, paid for, and incited a deadly mob, which he knew was
armed, to attack our country. He fraudulently raised $250 million from
everyday supporters to sell something he knew wasn't real.^3 He pressured
administration officials and state legislators to come in on his "coup in
search of a legal theory."^4 And he's still doing it.
Each and every one of these things is against federal law. Trump, and
everyone who helped him, must be held accountable.
If the Department of Justice doesn’t prosecute Trump, then it signals to
the people plotting to sabotage our next elections that they can do it
free of consequences.
Sign the petition to tell Attorney General Merrick Garland and the
Department of Justice to prosecute Trump for conspiring to sabotage the
2020 election results.

Legal experts agree that the hearings are making the case that Trump broke
the law and committed crimes ranging from mail fraud (fundraising from a
lie) to obstructing an official proceeding (inciting the armed mob to
attack Congress in an effort to prevent the vote count) to conspiracy to
defrauding the United States (trying to throw out millions of voters'
certified electoral votes for Biden) and more.^5,6
The recent testimony from former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson
further proves Trump’s intent in the moments leading up to the
insurrection. Trump and his closest circle knew of the potential for
violence, knew that there were weapons at the rally, and still refused to
deescalate the situation until it was clear that they could be held
responsible for the violence that day.^7
It's plain as day that Trump and his conspirators were wrong to do all of
this. But their conduct wasn't just wrong—it was illegal.^8 Everyone who
participated needs to be brought to justice, even if they were president
of the United States when they committed the crimes. Especially if they
were president of the United States.
Time and time again, Donald Trump has escaped accountability for his
harmful actions, but enough is enough.
