What's New
COVID-19 Vaccine for Children and Teens
COVID-19 vaccines are now recommended for all Minnesotans 6 months of age and older.
*
The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, and will help keep kids out of the hospital.?
* The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are authorized for children age 6 months and older. The number of doses your child needs will depend on their age and which vaccine they are getting.
* Children age 5 and older who get the Pfizer vaccine are also recommended to get a booster shot. At this time, a booster shot is not recommended for children who receive the Moderna vaccine.
* It's important to get all recommended doses for the best protection.
* The vaccines for children under 12 years are smaller doses than the vaccines for older children and adults. The size of the dose is based on the child's age, not their size or weight.
* Talk to your child's health care provider if you have questions. They can also help you schedule all recommended doses for your child.
* The COVID-19 vaccine is free for all Minnesotans.

Share Your Story: Why I Got the COVID-19 Vaccine
[ [link removed] ]
There are a lot of reasons to get a COVID-19 vaccine, and we want to hear from Minnesotans what some of those reasons are.
We?re asking people to share why they got themselves or their children vaccinated for COVID-19 to help encourage others to do the same.
You can record a short video to submit to MDH and we will help share some of the reasons people are rolling up their sleeves.
