Dear Friend,

This is HUGE: Our polling, done in concert with Communities for a New
California, has highlighted what the most important voter issue will be in
November: the economy. Respondents are very concerned about inflation and
job security when it comes to supporting their families.(1)

But right now, Republicans are flat out lying to voters about the cause of
record gas prices and the cost of essentials, like food and utilities. GOP
candidates have coined the term "Bidenflation," and they are using it all
over the campaign trail.(2) Fox News is parroting these lies as well,
calling this the "Summer of Bidenflation."(3)

The truth is that Republicans have blocked every effort to rein in prices,
including the windfall tax, price-gouging bills, and a billionaire tax.
Voters need to know that, but the Democratic Party is not getting the
message out. Courage California is filling the gap. We are expanding our
polling and honing our messaging to launch an on-the-ground canvassing
program to let every possible left-leaning voter know how Republicans are
hurting the economy.

[ [link removed] ]There is so much at stake this election -- the economy, human rights,
the environment -- and we can’t depend on the Democratic Party to win the
seats we need. Will you donate to help keep control of Congress?

The truth about inflation is that corporations are taking advantage of
this moment in a criminal way. Food companies, including Tyson and Kroger,
have posted obscene 35% profits, far outpacing their rising costs.(4) Oil
company Shell just saw its profits triple in the midst of a gas-price
crisis.(5) And Republicans have done nothing to stop them.

Voters desperately need this information.

We need to flip as many red districts blue in California if there is any
hope of keeping Congress under Democrat leadership. Our polls have also
shown that for the first time, more likely voters identify as Democrats
than Republicans in two key Central Valley districts -- including Devin
Nunes’ old stomping grounds.

However, the margin is razor-thin, meaning we need to ramp up enthusiasm
for left-leaning voters in the area before the election.

Focusing on the economy is an incredible opportunity for Democrats to take
two traditionally Republican seats in Congress -- but as the San Francisco
Chronicle says, the Democratic Party hasn’t gotten its act together.(6) We
need to expand our plans for on-the-ground canvassing and polling to fill
the gap. Will you donate today?
