As part of the Pathway Out of Poverty Conference Priority, the Missouri Conference seeks to connect 100,00 students with 100,000 books by December 31, 2020. To accomplish this goal we need your help! Costner-Fulton Grants Due October 1
The Mission, Service and Justice Team will be awarding grants for launching mission projects in 2020. Email your one-page grant proposal to mailto:[email protected] [email protected] by October 1, 2019. The one-page proposal needs to include a mechanism for evaluating the success of the mission after six months and 12 months. In addition to the one-page proposal, send a budget showing anticipated expenses and demonstrating other fund sources. The average grant award amount is between $1,000 and $5,000; however, the committee has the discretion to award a different amount on a case-by-case basis. Priority will be given to projects or initiatives that in some way ties to our conference priority of Pathway Out of Poverty. If the project has focus on student literacy it will be given priority for this grant funding cycle. Building projects do not qualify.
The Costner-Fulton Fund for Missions is a grant program of the Mission, Service and Justice Team. Tom and LaVerne Fulton shared a passion for social work in their professional lives. Their activism was a calling, rooted in faith and given further expression through the outreach ministries of the United Methodist Church. It is not surprising that this dedicated couple created an estate plan that would continue to reach out to a world in need.
