Public comment period open until Friday, July 22.
Kitsap County Public Works ? Stormwater Division hosted an Open House on July 12 to share proposed initial concepts for a new stormwater park on the corner of Bucklin Hill Road and Tracyton Boulevard in Silverdale. We are now interested in hearing your feedback on these concepts. Public comments are accepted until Friday, July 22.
Last month, we invited the public to share what amenities they would be interested in seeing at this proposed park. At the Open House, the design team shared the results of the survey and unveiled three proposed design concepts.
Some of the themes that guided the design process included the preservation of existing trees on site, maximizing the use of nature-based stormwater systems and providing usable green space. ?Three different designs were unveiled ? a raindrop design, a salmon design and a hybrid raindrop design.
Your input will guide the further development of a preferred concept and ultimately, the 30% design. The preferred design concept will be finalized early fall.

About This Project
Located on the corner of NW Bucklin Hill Road and Tracyton Boulevard in Silverdale, the proposed stormwater park would treat stormwater before discharging to an existing system and outfall to Dyes Inlet. In addition to providing environmental benefits, the park could include pedestrian paths, educational elements, or open landscaped green space. Your feedback will help inform our design team on what features are important to the community.
