For many of us a favorite birding memory is the first sight of a colorful bird–a Scarlet Tanager or a Baltimore Oriole. In this class, you’ll learn how pigments and microscopic structures in feathers create the colors we see. Join Ivan Phillipsen ([link removed]) as he explains iridescence and the evolution and function of color in bird feathers. We promise the class will educate, entertain and give you a greater appreciation for even the most common bird’s plumage. Register here ([link removed]) .
