Combat Pro-Gun Litigation in Lower Courts

March For Our Lives

The landmark decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen in late June impacted all ongoing Second Amendment cases in lower courts and likely incentivized new litigation efforts from pro-gun organizations. Lawyers will need to identify and track new and ongoing Second Amendment/gun law cases in lower courts, including district and appellate courts, as well as state Supreme courts. Lawyers may be barred in any state.

6—10 HOURS

Represent Doctors Without Borders' (MSF) Afghan Colleagues

Doctors Without Borders

Represent and advise colleagues who require urgent support and/or have complex cases in the P1/P2, Humanitarian Parole, Family-Based or Employment-Based Visa categories. Doctors Without Borders is looking volunteers experienced with employment visas to review visa screeners. Dari, Farsi, Pashto speakers preferred. Lawyers may be barred in any state.

1—5 HOURS

Conduct State-Level Legislative Research on Domestic Violence

FreeFrom

FreeFrom is on a mission to create pathways to financial security and long-term safety for survivors of domestic violence so they can thrive and live free from abuse. Volunteers are needed to research state-level legislation in all 50 states and DC related to survivor financial security that has been introduced in the last two years. Lawyers may be barred in any state.

11-20 HOURS

Update Voter Protection Materials for Youth Voting Organization

One Million of Us

OneMillionOfUs is a youth-led pledge & education-based organization that works to rally young people to register to vote. Update voter protection materials to help ensure a generation of young voters understand the tools needed to be able to vote safely. Lawyers may be barred in any state.

Legal Advocacy Support for Low-Income/Marginalized Fathers

Fathers' Uplift Inc.

Meet with fathers facing legal questions to give them counsel and help them chart a path to achieving their goals and connecting with their children. Lawyers may be barred in any state.
