Legislative Update
The Second Regular Session of the 99th Missouri General Assembly will kick off at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Your Missouri Right to Life Legislative Team is working with legislators on pro-life bills to file for the 2020 legislative session. Pre-filing of legislation for the 2020 session began Monday, December 2, 2019.

At this time there have been 254 bills and 24 various resolutions filed in the Senate. And, there have been 351 bills and 17 various resolutions filed in the House.

We publish pro-life updates weekly on bills that have either a positive or negative impact on our ability to protect innocent human lives at every stage of life and development.
When we put out a legislative alert for phone calls, e-mails and letters to legislators you need to be ready to discuss issues with your legislators.

Your involvement is important to the passage of good solid pro-life legislation.
And we are your leaders to help you on life issues.

A good way to stay current on all pro-life issues in 2020 is to sign up for our weekly Missouri Lifeline and join our Pro-Life Communication Network.

President Trump Remakes the Federal Bench
"President Trump is remaking the federal bench one judicial appointment at a time. His most recent nominee, just approved by the U.S. Senate, is Sarah Pitlyk.

"Not only is Sarah a strong human rights advocate and defender of religious freedom, her work at the Thomas More Society on cases involving the custody of a human embryo, and the unconstitutional St. Louis ordinance that declared the city to be an "abortion sanctuary" marks her as a true pro-life judicial appointment," said Susan Klein, Executive Director of Missouri Right to Life. "She was also involved in the defense of David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, which uncovered Planned Parenthood's allegedly illegal sales of aborted baby body parts.

"This and numerous other similar appointments by President Trump, once again, displays the critical importance of electing pro-life officials and law makers."
