Today is a big day on Capitol Hill, as the House of Representatives will begin consideration of a major foreign policy and national security bill known as the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). NIAC has worked with several Congressional offices to advance key amendments:

Requiring
a
comprehensive
review
of
the
humanitarian
impact
of
sanctions


*
Reforming
sanctions
that
may
undermine
ordinary
Iranians’
internet
access


*
Repealing
the
2002
Iraq
war
authorization
that
could
be
manipulated
for
war
with
Iran


*
Demanding
a
cost
estimate
for
misplaced
U.S.
efforts
to
further
militarize
the
Middle
East

Your Member of Congress is voting today and needs to hear that these are important priorities.
