Between an increasingly radical Republican party in Congress and a right-wing majority on the Supreme Court, it's easy to get discouraged. 

But now more than ever, we can't afford to throw up our hands or accept defeat. We have to double down, organize our communities, and support progressive leaders at every level of government. Here in New York, we elected a strong democratic majority -- and they're expanding reproductive rights and fighting for meaningful gun safety measures. 

And we can go even further and extend those same protections around the country. Real wins are possible when we show up.
