I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support of my campaign. If you missed the news, we reported our strongest fundraising quarter of the 2022 election cycle, and that's in large part credit to grassroots supporters who chipped in on emails like this one.

As we work through what's expected to be a very tough re-election effort, I can't tell you how humbled I am to have your support. It sends an important message that we are ready to win and defend the progress we've made for the 49th.

Now that we’re officially in the general election, I have a simple request: Will you please add your name to say you personally endorse my campaign for Congress? We're hoping to lock in 1,500 grassroots endorsers to begin this next phase of our campaign with strength.

For our part here at HQ, each day that passes until November 8 will remind us what's at stake if Republicans take control of Congress. As one of their top targets, we're doing everything in our power to win here and prevent Kevin McCarthy from taking the helm with extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert at his side.

This is no longer the Republican Party of old, John. These people are willing to risk our very institutions if it means enacting their cruel MAGA agenda.

Despite the challenges, we've done so much together to improve lives in CA-49. We've brought millions in federal resources to our community. We’ve made more progress on San Onofre than had been done in the past decade. And I've spearheaded efforts to stop the unethical fundraising practices that have corrupted Congress.

I will continue legislating to the best of my abilities, which depends on consistent grassroots support from folks like you.

I hope you're as energized for the months ahead as I am, and I look forward to seeing your personal endorsement of this grassroots campaign.
