Climate change is a crisis Coastal Virginians face right now. Not tomorrow. Not ten years from now.

But too many Republicans in Washington still deny the science behind climate change. And worse -- they're actively working to rollback the progress we've made.

When Trump began to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, we became the only country in the world to reject this global effort to combat climate change.

I want to hear from you on this John -- Will you weigh in on my climate survey?

Combating climate change is one of my top priorities because inaction and obstruction are not options -- not for our military, our coastal communities, our nation, or our planet.

That's why I serve as Co-Chair of the Climate Change Task Force and have helped pass legislation to ban offshore drilling and the Climate Action NOW Act -- the first major climate-related bill to pass the House in ten years.

In November, I testified to the House Committee on Climate Change on how much climate change poses serious threats to our health, our livelihoods, and our national security in Coastal Virginia.

This issue is too important to ignore. That's why I need to hear from you, John -- Will you share your thoughts on climate action with me?

Thanks for weighing in,

Elaine
