President Biden’s Middle East Trip Should Focus on Countering Iran <[link removed]> – The principal policy focus of President Biden’s trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia should be expanding U.S.-led regional cooperation to defeat Iranian aggression. The geopolitical map of the Middle East is changing fast as Israel and Sunni Arab states work towards cooperating against a common
adversary – Iran. The Biden administration should strengthen and expand Trump’s Abraham Accords that have advanced U.S. interests, strengthened allies, mitigated Iranian threats, and reduced the risks of another Arab–-Israeli war. However, in his latest display of weakness on the world stage, President Biden is expected to ask Saudi Arabia to increase its production of oil, when it’s the Biden administration’s own domestic policies at fault for gas prices breaking Americans’ banks The Biden administration should be focused on unleashing American energy
production, achieving energy freedom, and providing relief to Americans. Heritage Experts: James Carafano <[link removed]> and Jim Phillips <[link removed]>
Fox in the Henhouse: Biden’s New Title IX Rule Puts Women in Danger <[link removed]> –
On its 50th anniversary, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972—the pinnacle achievement of sex equality in education—took a massive hit. Even as the Supreme Court delivered landmark opinion upon landmark opinion, the U.S. Department of Education issued a new rule on Title IX redefining “women” and proposing to undo many of the law’s successes. Once considered a feminist triumph, Title IX was enacted to prevent sex-based discrimination at any educational institution receiving federal funding. For hundreds of thousands of women, it has opened the door to graduate schools, scholastic sports, study programs and, ultimately, professional achievement. Gascon Recall Effort Takes Big Step Forward in Los Angeles <[link removed]> - Gascon isn’t the only rogue prosecutor to face a recall this year. In June, San Francisco voters removed DA Chesa Boudin by a 55% to 45% margin. Boudin refused to prosecute drug and most property crimes, and he turned a blind eye to open-air drug markets, all of which contributed to a dystopian cityscape in San Francisco. The effort to recall Boudin was organized and funded in large part by liberals who, although they voted for Boudin in the first place, eventually realized that Boudin’s rogue approach to prosecution was pushing businesses to close; exacerbating the drug, homelessness, and crime problems; and emboldening criminals. Pro-life pregnancy clinic hired 24-hour security, shut down mobile clinic, director says in Senate hearing <[link removed]>—What we’re seeing in today’s Senate hearing on abortion is the abortion industry and its allies in Congress promote a radical regime of nationwide abortion on-demand
through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason, paid for by the taxpayers. That position is extreme and out of touch with the vast majority of Americans. Pro-life Americans are eager to build a culture of life in post-Roe America. Instead, the Left’s response is to accuse pregnancy resource centers of being “fake clinics” that “deceive” pregnant women. One thing pro-life and pro-abortion advocates perhaps can agree on? A woman’s experience at a Planned Parenthood clinic versus her experience at a pregnancy resource center will be vastly different. Who is it that actually offers women a choice again? It’s not Planned Parenthood. Congressional Democrats’ latest assault <[link removed]> comes at a time when these lifesaving centers are being attacked <[link removed]> by pro-abortion extremists, from vandalism and threatening graffiti (“If abortion isn’t safe, neither are you”) to firebombings. Rather than condemn these vile attacks, pro-abortion policymakers in Congress have opted to add fuel to the fire. Heritage Expert: Melanie Israel <[link removed]>
Democrats Could Make A Recession Even Worse <[link removed]> - Economic data has been pointing to a recession for months and alarm bells should be ringing in Washington. As with most challenges facing the nation, the political parties have vastly different strategies for blunting the impact of a recession and getting the country back to robust growth. A recession is commonly defined as two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth. The first three months of this year saw the economy contract 1.6% and the second quarter will very likely be negative as well. This is not at all surprising, given the four-decade high inflation caused by the government’s excessive spending, borrowing and printing of money. Heritage Expert: EJ Antoni <[link removed]>
The “Woke” Takeover of James Madison’s Montpelier <[link removed]> – Montpelier, the home of James Madison, has been taken over by the radical left. In the past few months, a battle had been waging between the Montpelier Descendent Committee and the Montpelier Foundation’s board of directors. Recently, the board was expected to select nine of the 20 candidates put forward by the MDC; they gave the MDC members board majority by selecting 11. We can now expect Madison’s legacy—the fourth president of the United States and key architect of the U.S. Constitution—to be effectively erased. There are no exhibits dedicated to his essential role in drafting the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, his authorship of much of The Federalist Papers, or his seminal defense of religious freedom. With the MDC winning this disagreement, it looks as if the American people will lose an epicenter of our nation’s history. Heritage Expert: Brenda Hafera <[link removed]>
Critical Race Theory’s Corrosive Effects on American Principles and Traditions <[link removed]> – Critical race
theory corrodes American principles and traditions and civil rights laws that Americans, especially black Americans, fought for centuries to force the government to create and implement. The application of CRT’s tenets in schools, offices, the military, and even houses of worship violates these laws and the Constitution itself. CRT is not about fixing the problems of impoverished Americans, whatever their race or national origin. Nor is it about solving discrimination. CRT is not just a philosophy or a legal discipline, as those who are desperately fighting to save it today insist. It is a tool to change society, another instrument to tear down the narrative of American history and culture and replace it with a counternarrative. Heritage Expert: Mike Gonzalez <[link removed]>
