Netanyahu, Pompeo & Iran

Amid increasing reports of Iranian threats, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met in Lisbon, Portugal.  The prime minister took the opportunity to address the growing threats from Tehran.  Below are some excerpts of his remarks:

"The first subject that I will raise is Iran, the second subject is Iran, and so is the third. . .

"We've been fortunate that President Trump has led a consistent policy of pressure against Iran.  Iran is increasing its aggression as we speak, even today, in the region. They're trying to have staging grounds against us and the region from Iran itself, from Iraq, from Syria, from Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen and we are actively engaged in countering that aggression.

"The Israeli-American policy is key to that effort, that serves the purposes of many, many countries in the region."

Following their meeting, Secretary Pompeo told reporters that they also discussed the "anti-Iran protests taking place in Baghdad, anti-Iran protests taking place in Beirut, and we all know what is going on in Iran itself."

Speaking of those protests, Brian Hook, the special representative for Iran, described yesterday some of the horrific videos and messages that the State Department has received from Iranians since the protests began.  Consider these remarks and what they reveal about the ayatollah's regime:

"We have seen reports of many hundreds more killed in and around Tehran.  And as the truth is trickling out of Iran, it appears the regime could have murdered over a thousand Iranian citizens since the protests began.  We cannot be certain because the regime blocks information.

"Among those murdered are at least a dozen children. . .  We have received reports from family members of victims who tried to recover the bodies.  The authorities demanded that the families first pay the cost of the bullets they used."

Palestinian War Crimes

Palestinian officials were outraged yesterday after a report from the International Criminal Court suggesting that the Palestinian "pay-to-slay" scheme represents potential war crimes

Incredibly, the Palestinian Authority is subsidizing terrorism against innocent Israelis by paying stipends to jihadists and their families.  Israel's so-called "peace partner" is encouraging violence by subsidizing it.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has adamantly refused to stop the payments, insisting that he would give his "last penny to the martyrs." This program is a key reason why peace remains so elusive.

Christians United for Israel and CUFI Action Fund worked extremely hard to get the Taylor Force Act passed in Congress.  The law was named after an American veteran who was murdered by a Palestinian jihadist in 2016.  Your tax dollars should never be used to pay the terrorists who kill American citizens or the citizens of our ally Israel.

The act finally became law last year, and the Trump Administration quickly began enforcing it.
