John,

I write with a simple request: Please follow me on Twitter if you have an account.

The January 6th Hearings today once again reminded us of the danger our democracy is in, especially the ease with which right-wingers can reach and do something akin to brainwashing their minions via social media. This is how they got their foot solidiers for their domestic terrorist attack against the Capitol on January 6th and their ongoing war against our Constitution.

Twitter is a place where we can push back, organize together, undermine their talking points, put them on the defensive with smart messaging and share Democratic accomplishments with positive messages of our own--all in front of the media, who are pretty much all on this app.

We do our best to send you emails every day to financially support our best candidates, and defeat their worst.

Meanwhile, on Twitter there is a constant conversation in real time, one that can often define whether we are on the winning or losing side of issues, campaigns, candidacies and more. So not a huge ask here, just please follow me there, where at least a dozen times per day I share news, ideas, pushback and more to fight the Republican authoritarian menace.

So one last time please go to Twitter and hit the follow button. We all want to be on message and responding as quickly as possible in a world with minute-to-minute news cycles. This is one thing where we can all make a difference.

PLEASE FOLLOW @CLIFFSCHECTER ON TWITTER

Thank you for all you do, and please have a wonderful evening.

All my best,

Cliff
