Schools are facing a 35% – 40% increase in food costs due to supply chain and inflation issues.
My recent bill, “The Keep Kids Fed Act,” was designed to combat this issue. I am proud to share that it recently passed unanimously in the Senate and was signed into law!
This bill will provide school districts the support and flexibility they need to keep feeding kids through this summer and next school year.
In uncertain times, we must ensure that our children are cared for. Now, more kids will have vital access to the food they need this summer.
