I’m not a typical politician, folks. In fact, I like to think I’m far from it.

But the same can’t be said for my opponent, Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She’s spent her whole life around politics and has approached this campaign by embracing her relationship with Donald Trump and MAGA extremists. She’s even been photographed with former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, whom she has yet to condemn for his role on January 6th. And those choices are a stark indicator of what would come if she is elected.

As we get prepared for more January 6th hearings to come, I’m reflecting on how I felt on that day in 2021. The whiplash from being excited about Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff’s wins in Georgia to then watching the insurrection unfold on live television. That memory is how I know the decision to run for governor of Arkansas was the right one. It’s because this fight is much bigger than me. And it reinforced my belief that we need to elect leaders who work with the best interests of their communities in mind.

That's why we’re building a historic grassroots movement here in Arkansas to show that a better kind of leadership is possible — real leadership is possible. And that’s why we’re investing in the kind of campaign that can deliver a historic victory in November. Can you pitch in $20 or anything you can to guarantee we can compete against Sarah Huckabee Sanders, invest in a massive organizing and voter registration operation, and win? [[link removed]]

January 6th will forever be a stain on our democracy. And no matter how you feel about any particular policy choice for Arkansas, our future governor should not be the kind of person who keeps the company of white supremacists or insurrectionists. Instead, our governor should be talking to folks across our state about what really matters. Which is something else my opponent has failed to do. Sarah Huckabee Sanders continues to build relationships with wealthy elites and take steps to keep the far-right happy — all while refusing to talk to everyday Arkansans and local media along the way.

What’s it going to take to beat all that money and influence? We’ve already visited every single county in the state, and we’re in the process of doing it all over again — talking with Arkansas families and registering them to vote. In other words, we’re running the most ambitious campaign to reach folks across the state in Arkansas history, and we’re doing it while proving that politics does not have to be divisive and destructive.

We’re solving our problems by bringing people together, to find what works, and move us all forward. And you can help fuel that vision.

If you believe that an Arkansas built on Faith, Hope, and Hard Work is worth fighting for, please chip in a $20 contribution to help this team make history in November. [[link removed]]
