AFSCME Family,
We have been through so much over these last few years. Our jobs have never been tougher. The demand for public services has never been greater. But we have answered the call like we always do. And even when the pandemic kept us apart physically, it never divided us from one another. It never broke our will. It never sapped our power.
We have continued to organize, bringing new members on board. We have continued to take on the boss. We have continued to mobilize for change. We have continued to take bold action in Congress and in state capitols across the country.
If you want to hear more about where we are as a union and where we’re going, watch these excerpts from the keynote address that I gave Monday at our 45th International Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
And if you are interested in following along this week, be sure to check out the Convention website at convention.afscme.org.
Thank you for all that you do. Stay safe and stay AFSCME strong.
In solidarity,
Lee Saunders
AFSCME President
